Getting pickled

Taking one's eye off the ball is never a good move, and leads to one's olives shrivelling. Never mind, shall still go through the pickling procedure so that I am ready for a bumper crop next year and have the gear and the procedure down pat.

Aunty provided this "recipe" which is probably as good as any.

There are lots of feral olive trees near me, and I've always planned to give this a try. Maybe this year.

This is a fascinating image because of the lid causing distortion. You got quite a crop and with your sunny courtyard should have an even bigger one next year.

I am using it again on Saturday as my reflection shot for the weekend.

I am hoping next year to get a crop from both olive trees.

Yes, the distortion is very interesting - I like that. The colours of the olives, too.

Gosh I'm a dummy. I didn't even realise that the distortion was a reflection until I read the comments, I was wondering how you made the photo...doh. It has an optical illusion. I thought the bowl was full to the top. I'm having withdrawal symptoms. My computer has died and I'm trying to figure out how to use the master's treasured "Apple". I also have to kick him off to get some time to blog. Looks like we have to dig deep again for a new one for me...since master has no more hand me downs left.
