In a pickle

Day 9 of the pickle-process. I tried one today to see whether I have to continue for 20 days or whether the bitterness will have eased sufficiently by 14 days. See my gnawed seed? I think I am heading toward a 14 day PP. Invariably, as I go about my chores, I have assistance.

All seems like too much work for me ... but I don't even like olives so this should not be surprising.

I wouldn't have a clue how to pickle olives. Your cat would have more idea than me. I'm almost brain dead after trying to learn my new computer.

The olives make a very pretty picture. They look like marbles or river stones.

(I love all olives -- black, green, Greek...)

mmm ... I am going to have to consume this lot myself as all those to hand down here are dubious!!

Karin, the bowl has undissolved salt on the bottom which alters the light a little.

Do cats like olives?

This cat sniffed and wondered why I would bother. She is my life's companion and is curled beside me as I type.

So I assume olives are not really cats' taste --- I really didn't know and wondered ... .

This one is the more adventurous foodwise of my two cats. She is prepared to try most of the things that I am prepared to try. She probably worked out that this lot were not quite ready!!
