The front porch

Sunflower blue Lobelia, nodding violet and begonia sway in baskets above the Durante, the Wolemi Pine and a large potted ficus.

Aw shucks this looks gorgeous. I fell in love with hanging pots in England and have dreamed of doing some here. Trouble is they look good for a week and the shrivel up from not being watered so I have learnt not to try anymore.

Sounds like my daughter!

The thing is that I remember that my pots need water every other day, but daily once the temperature is over 25. They also need a lot more "feeding" that something planted in the ground. They are good in small gardens where vertical space is valued but in larger gardens vertical space has a totally different value.

Oh indeed, well spotted. I did have a little tag but must have chucked it. Here is what I googled: Dichondra, Kidneyweed 'Silver Falls'
Dichondra argentea.

And some of the images are absolutely amazing. I must resoil mine and give it a talking to!
