We should give them names, this one looks like a Henry (don't ask .... ;-)).
btw that's right, they are outside? How do they cope with thunderstorms and hail and cold weather? (I am wondering if they would prosper around here ... they are so cute, hmmm)
Well, yesterday's forecast of thunder and hail did not eventuate ... and orchids bloom during our winter (now) and the thunder&hail season is usually late spring early summer. Yes, they are outside.
Our winter does not really get cold. Today is forecast to get to 15C and right now at 630am it is 8C which is about as cold a day as we will experience down here on the plain. Joan will have a different story up in the mountains. Not sure these would survive outside up there.
The orchid looks like it's about to bite you.
I've never tried growing orchids but I know a lady locally here that did and I am fairly sure she grew them outside.
Our weather is more like maximums of 8C at the moment. Minimums 1C or 2C.
