I have steps like that too, mondo grass finding its way into the cracks and unswept leaves everywhere. I see there is also a slick of rain, not a lot of that about here right at the moment. I love the homely welcome in this shot.

We had a lot of rain today and expect more for the next three days. When they say coastal showers they pedantically mean just that!

You're showing us the end of the season, the mondo/monkey grass is very prevelant here - specifically in my yard. The previous owner let it run amuck. I don't want to talk about it.

Hah! I have never seen Mondo Grass when it has run amok. Only ever seen it neatly growing between bricks. I can understand, with its runner system, that this might happen.

For stuff that is bordering on noxious, and which is so easily transportable, it sells for a fortune over here.
