For my 60th last year, I was given two cymbidium orchids - in bloom. To my intense delight, I discovered these shoots yesterday morning. Having googled, I am unable to find images of the life cycle of an orchid.
I wonder ... oooh I do hope so!

Don't have a clue but I do hope so ... I would be soooo excited to get an orchid to flower the next year.
Nope ... the longer these little shoots grow, the more obvious it becomes that they are leaves ... but maybe that is the first stage!
