This was a gift from the English couple who house-sat for me whilst I traipsed around France. It is a variety of Protea with the botanical name 'serruria florida x rosea' so I can see why the label says 'Pretty n Pink'. I have already increased the size of its pot and will now cut these buds to increase the quality of the foliage. I expect it to be a highlight of my 2011 spring!

It is a pretty one, I haven't seen one like that before.
Lovely. You are so good with your plants ... me I'd just enjoy it until it died.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
I have a pink protea that is at least twelve feet tall. It sprang itself from the pot a few years ago and found the earth on its own. There are buds on it now; it seems to bloom whenever it feels like it.
South Africans are a bit like that: take root everywhere, they do!!
Twelve feet tall - mmm - I shall have another sized pot ready ...
The blooming is a consequence of hemispheral confusion ...
