Fruiting

Both trees are totally covered. Lst year I thought this was the olive itself. Now I know it to be but the flower. Last year none of the flowers opened.

Patience is a virtue.

Hm, are they fragrant? I don't think I ever had the opportunity to see the flowers.

Yeah, patience ... you have to be waiting patiently for your Martini ... ;-)

I've never thought of them flowering but I guess they have to to make fruit which now has me thinking ... do grape vines flower?

No, they are not fragrant. and the flower, as you can see, is insignificant.

Do grapes flower? Well passionflower does in a tremendously ornate manner. I suspect grapes do, too.

I don;t really expect many of these to turn into olives that alone reach maturity. I think there is another year of maturity to be gone through yet.

I will track the process with my camera ...

I've been thinking of grape flowers and now I remember they are quite inconspicuous yellow bobbly things ... nothing as wonderful as the passion flower.
