Exterior a month along

I have not disposed of last season's crop of leaves, yet. Nor trimmed all the droopy branches. But everything is going along swimmingly. My daughter and I go out to the garden shop on Sunday. I have promised myself no more pots. But will get me some scarlet petunias. And some more basil - bloody slugs!

I have never had the slug problem with basil - must be some Australian slugs, ;-) (Slugs _are_ a problem in this rainy climate in Germany though).

What's in the attic? Bedroom? *curious, sorry*

Yes, yes: the bedroom is in the attic. I will take some photographs over the weekend to show you how ingenious I can be when pushed.

Ah yes, the slugs decimate my basil seedlings too. I've taken to buying more mature plants and then there seems to be food enough for us both. It feels a bit early to plant it here yet ... I'm still fearful there will be a cold snap even though it has been so incredibly warm lately.

This time the blighters chewed through the biggest leaf .... the one providing the canopy. And it looks terrible!! Let me tell you his whole family is now manuring the planter box!

Sounds like none of us use pesticides. Yay.

I have two pounds of Diatomaceous Earth that I'm going to try in my raised beds.

sorry ... what do you mean ... is this a request or a comment about slugs :)

LOL - I am sorry. I was waiting for the family photo of the Slug Family, ;-).

Hang on for a few ticks and I will load something up ... not of slugs though ... close but no carcasses!
