Natural geometry

I managed to break up a clump of these and now have about 20 smaller plants scattered throughout the garden in small pots. Their winter garments are gradually deepening in colour, with the delightful flush around the gills. August is the month of preparation. What I reap throughout the summer, so I sow in this last month of the fallow.

Somehow succulents never reach the next year with me ... I suppose I water them too much.

It is a shame since I think they are really easy to handle - for other people, I guess.

I like the light in the first photo.

I seem to be having a fair bit of success at the moment. I think for mine it has all to do with aspect. Adequate sun and not too much wind. I think I am struggling with lemon, lime and fig for this very reason - they are in the wrong part of the courtyard. I shall try to explain this pictorially over the next coupla days,.

Very pretty and full of shape and designs, I went to a seminar on plants and maths once but can't remember any specifics.

I've been noticing this little image in my sidebar and glad to be visiting it. It's very eye catching.

I've been going mad taking photos in the desert. Plenty of succulents there.
